Mom Accused of Killing 4-Year-Old Because He ‘Walked & Talked’ Like a Gay Person

A woman in Tigard, Oregon is on trial for the most heinous of crimes -- killing her child. But what prosecutors say is her alleged motive for the crime may be even more despicable. It is alleged that Jessica Dutro killed her 4-year-old son because she thought he was gay.

Little Zachary Dutro-Boggess was brought to the hospital after an alleged beating caused trauma to his abdomen and a tear in his bowels. His intestines reportedly leaked into his body. He struggled to live for two days before being taken off life support.

If prosecutors are correct, the so-called "reason" for this beating is as horrific as any you will ever hear. Dutro is accused of beating the child because she thought he was gay. She reportedly sent a Facebook message to her boyfriend calling her son a gay slur and saying:

He walks and talks like it. Ugh.

She then ominously added that she would "work on" the boy.

If you ever think that the fight for gay rights isn't needed anymore -- well, here is a reason it is. There are still parents who would not only disown, not only dislike, but apparently even kill children they perceive as gay.

And let's not even get into how anyone would know if a child that young is gay.

Dutro allegedly beat and tortured all three of her children. Zachary's 3-year-old brother had five broken ribs. But Zachary got the brunt of the abuse. His body was allegedly covered with bruises that spoke to constant beatings. Her boyfriend, Brian Canady, is also charged in the murder. Scarily, these two had an infant as well.

Prosecutors also introduced evidence showing that on the day her baby died, Dutro had done web searches for "free stuff" and "sex with strangers." She also allegedly did searches for "parenting classes," which came far too late for this precious little boy. Some children come into this world for a very short time and know only pain and suffering. Disgusting.

How can we help children in danger like this?
