Another Family Found Dead in Apparent Murder-Suicide

What is with the reported parental murder-suicides this week?? In a third heartbreaking incident, it seems as though yet another family is dead after an apparent murder-suicide took the lives of a husband, a wife, and their two young children.

The bodies of the young Jehovah’s Witness family were identified on Thursday as Sheddrick Byron Miller, 38, his wife Kia Von Miller, 28, and their two children, ages 3 and 1. They were discovered on Wednesday by Sheddrick’s mother, who had not heard from them in a few days.

Earlier this week, it was reported that a mom allegedly shot and killed her two teens and then herself, and then in another unrelated case, a young mom also shot and killed her two daughters and herself.

My head. It spins.

While the previous two cases seem to have involved an absent father figure to some extent, the reasoning for this one is unknown.

Police say that each of the children toddlers were found in their own bedrooms, with gunshot wounds to the chest. Sheddrick and Kia were found together in their bedroom, with a handgun found closest to the father. The adults were also shot in the upper body.

A family friend who had attended Bible study at the couple’s home described them as a good family. “It’s confusing,” said Rachel Hinson, 25. “It’s not understandable why something like that would happen.”

It certainly isn’t understandable. What a terrible tragedy.
