Shooter In Louisiana Rampage Couldn't Cope With Tough Divorce

Ben Freeman Answers are slowly but surely beginning to surface in the case of a violent, shooting spree which took place earlier this week. Ben Freeman of Louisiana was involved in a brutal divorce and custody battle. Police are currently examining this as a possible motive for Freeman's rampage.

Freeman allegedly shot his ex-wife, mother-in-law, and former boss to death, wounded 3 others and then turned the gun on himself. These awful acts came as a shock. Especially because it seemed that in the past few months, Freeman was righting the ship, and trying to make up for errors he'd made in the past.

Freeman had agreed earlier this summer to pay his ex-wife close to $23K in back child support payments. Further more, the couple seemed to be finally working together. They agreed to sell some jointly owned lots, and to split the profits they would make from the sale of the land evenly.

But clearly everything wasn't exactly how it appeared. Because in the same month that the former couple had seemed to sort out their differences, his ex-wife Jeanne Gouaux filed a complaint against him. Freeman would be fined and given a year's worth of probation for the harassment changes Gouaux made.

Freeman, if these accounts are true, was a tortured individual. Just a month before this alleged spree, he was in trouble with the law again. Freeman was brought up on domestic violence charges by his current wife. It makes you wonder what other warning signs Freeman presented, and if there was anything anyone could have done to stop this awful tragedy.

Do you think Freeman had been planning this crime, or that he simply snapped?
