Kidnap Victim Hannah Anderson Offered an Ungodly Sum of Money for Interview

Hannah AndersonWhen Hannah Anderson was kidnapped by family friend James DiMaggio this summer and taken into the mountains after both her mother and 8-year-old brother were murdered, it made national headlines. Now, people want to know more and one news affiliate is being accused of paying Hannah Anderson and her father $100,000 for that privilege.

A spokesperson for NBC claims that Hannah and her father were not being paid for their time (which is a journalistic no-no), but for "footage and personal material" in the programming. Hmmm. Sounds fishy, no?

At any rate, this won't be Hannah's first time on camera. She already gave two interviews to NBC News and this show sounds like it will be more in depth.

Still, $100,000 is a lot of money and for those who doubted Hannah Anderson in the first place, this news can't put her high on the credibility list. Some still believe her behavior in the weeks following the crime was odd and not adequately mournful.

Look, it's impossible to judge grief and this story may be worth money. If this happened, it's not really clear whether it is wrong or not. It's a gray area for sure.

Do you think Hannah should be accepting money for her "personal footage"?
