Notorious Serial Killer Turns 'Green' Before Dying in Prison (VIDEO)

Sometimes it seems as if mass murders are a thing that has just been invented, but no, they've been around for a long time. And one of the most notorious, Richard Ramirez, who terrorized Southern California in the mid-80s, just died in prison of liver failure. Prison guards say he turned the color green before his death and "looked like a highlighter pen." I imagine this had to do with his liver failure, but perhaps also he was turning the color of Satan or something (no offense to green highlighter pens), because this was one purely evil asshat.

Ramirez was convicted of killing 13 people, including a 9-year-old girl, and also was charged with many rapes, attempted murders, and tortures. I won't get into the details of his grisly crime spree, but it was as disgusting as you can imagine someone who bragged about worshipping Satan would perpetrate. In fact, he would often make his victims pledge their alliance to the devil before he killed them. A seriously sick -- I don't want to call him "man" or insult animals by calling him one so just come up with your own word.

Ramirez's trial took four long years and he became famous for something else -- the crowd of adoring female fans who flocked to it. He even ended up marrying one of them. So those of you ladies who have a crush on James Holmes or Dzhokhar Tsarnaev -- hey, don't give up hope! He could be yours one day!

Anyway, Ramirez was sentenced to death originally, but California overturned its death penalty law and he hung around on death row for 24 years. I can only hope those were very long, very painful years. After his death sentence was read, he told reporters:

Big deal. Death always went with the territory. See you in Disneyland.

I very much doubt Ramirez is in Disneyland now. He's hopefully just where he belongs though.

Had you heard of Richard Ramirez? Here's an interview with him.
