10-Year-Old Takes Down Robbers in His Bedroom With a Stunning Display of Bravery

home invasion You know what they say about good things and small packages, right? Today's good news comes wrapped up in the body of a 10-year-old boy in Brooklyn, New York. The little guy managed to take down a home robbery ... while two teenagers cowered in the living room.

Our kids. They can do anything, can't they?

The details are pretty slim as cops investigate the home invasion in the Canarsie section of New York's Brooklyn, but here's the basics: two guys break into a house. They order the two teenagers they find to stay in the living room while they continue to rummage through the house to find whatever it is they're there to steal.

Only they didn't count on a little kid with a big bad @ss streak hanging out in his bedroom. The kid could have cowered in his closet. That's what I probably would have done!

Instead he slammed his bedroom door on the hand of one of the robbers, making the bad dude drop his gun. The kid picked up said gun and fired off a shot, terrifying the big, bad robbers ... who took off.

Score one for awesome little kids everywhere! It wasn't just a good thing in a small package here ... it was a great thing!

This 10-year-old wasn't just brave. He was smart too! And all while the big ol' teenagers were cowering in the living room ...

What is your favorite "good thing in a small package" story?
