Kristen Bell Sparks Debate After Confessing She Lies to Her Kids About Their Birthdays

As far as celebrity moms go, Kristen Bell is one of the most relatable. She's not above sharing photos of toy-filled rooms or revealing cringe-worthy parenting moments she's had with husband Dax Shepard. So it should come as no surprise that Kristen Bell "lies" to her kids about their birthdays. (It's pretty darn hilarious.) And of course, it's sparking a debate among parents who say "same" and others who can't help but side-eye her decision.

  • Kristen recently revealed she lies to her kids about their birthdays during an appearance on Today and has zero shame.

Kristen and Dax Shepard have two daughters: Lincoln, 5, and Delta, 3.

  • "If it's, like, a Wednesday and we can't celebrate and we're both working late, then -- guess what -- your birthday is on Saturday," she confessed.

"They don't know," Kristen Bell explained during her Today sit-down about lying to her children, E! News reports.

  • And that's not the only thing she lies to her kids about.

The celeb mom also told Kathie Lee and Hoda that she fibs about the time of day since they can't tell time.

    (LOL.)

  • Needless to say, Kristen's admission turned heads -- especially parents who had to sound off.

  • A number of people don't approve of her lying to her kids.

Commenters noted that Kristen could easily explain to her kids that their birthdays fall on one particular day but their party will be on another.

  • But not everyone is ready to crucify her, because who hasn't told their kid a lie?

Santa Claus. The Easter bunny. The tooth fairy.

    Yup, we're guilty.

  • And really don't think it's that big of a deal.

  • Maybe lying to her kids about their birthdays works best for Kristen.

And although some might not agree about it being the right thing to do, she's definitely not alone!
