Carrie Underwood Opens Up About Why She Didn't 'Jump the Gun' to Reveal Her Pregnancy

It's been a month since Carrie Underwood revealed she's expecting baby number two that sent shock waves across the Internet. It was so unexpected and so welcomed as folks are excited for this celebrity mom-to-be and her family. Recently, Carrie Underwood opened up about her pregnancy reveal and why she chose not to "jump the gun" when it came to breaking the happy news.

  • Carrie took to social media back in August to reveal a future tour for her new album, Cry Pretty, and news she's having a baby.

    "You might be wondering or asking, 'Carrie, why is your tour starting in May?' Well ... yay!" Carrie Underwood said in her Instagram video as the camera panned out to show "baby" balloons.

    In addition to the baby on the way, Carrie and her hubby, Mike Fisher, are proud parents to a 2-year-old son named Isaiah.

  • The decision to announce her pregnancy was one this mom didn't take lightly as she sat on the news for a bit.

    "Obviously, you kind of want to reach a point in your pregnancy where you’re sure that everything is going well before you let other people in on it," the celeb mom revealed to PopCulture.com about her second pregnancy and revealing the happy news. "Stuff like that was important. You don't want to jump the gun and then have to take it back."

    "And then one day I woke up looking like this,' Carrie added, pointing to her growing bump, The Inquistr reported. "And I was like, 'I guess today's the day. I can't hide this any more.'"
