There is no greater tragedy than the loss of a child. Olympian ski racer Bode Miller's post about his toddler daughter's accidental drowning is beyond heartbreaking and a painful reality no parent should ever have to face. As unthinkable as this loss is, the reaction -- and virtual arms surrounding this family during such a difficult time -- is extremely touching, proving there's still goodness in the world.

  • Bode took to Instagram to open up about his 19-month-old daughter Emeline Grier's death after the toddler accidentally drowned in a pool on June 3.

Responders from the Orange County Fire Department rushed the little girl to a hospital while trying to revive her but were unsuccessful, People reports.

In addition to their sweet Emeline, Bode and his wife, professional beach volleyball player Morgan Beck have a 3-year-old son named Nash, and are expecting another child later this fall. Bode also has two children, son Samuel, 5, and daughter Neesyn, 10, from a previous relationship.
