If there's one person who's proving to be controversial, it's this celeb mom-to-be. Kat Von D lives her best life how she sees fit, but is constantly coming under criticism for her decisions. And if people thought things like her "devilish" red wedding were bad, this will likely have folks blowing a gasket. Kat Von D won't vaccinate her child once he's born, and the interwebs are sounding off -- calling the 36-year-old expectant mom everything from "selfish" to "irresponsible."

  • Kat headed to the 'Gram to take on critics who can't help but give her "unsolicited advice." She's tired of it and plans to do things her way.

Kat Von D announced she's expecting her first child with husband Leafar Seyer back in May. "It's a boy," she aptly captioned in her Instagram post.

  • "If you don't know what it's like have people around you think you are ridiculous, try being openly vegan," she wrote.

"I knew the minute we announced our pregnancy that we would be bombarded with unsolicited advice. Some good and some questionable - unsolicited none the less," Kat Von D also revealed in her Instagram post about unwanted pregnancy advice. "I also was prepared for the backlash and criticism we would get if we decided to be open about our personal approach to our pregnancy. My own Father flipped out on me when I told him we decided to ditch our doctor and go with a midwife instead."

  • While being a vegan and opting for a midwife aren't super unusual, this expectant mom's anti-vaccination stance has lots of people talking.

"... If you don't know what it's like to have the entire world openly criticize, judge, throw uninformed opinions, and curse you -- try being an openly pregnant vegan on Instagram, having a natural, drug-free home birth in water with a midwife and doula, who has the intention of raising a vegan child, without vaccinations," Kat declared in her post.

    She continued:

"My point being: I already know what it's like to make life choices that are not the same as the majority. So your negative comments are not going influence my choices -- actual research and educating myself will -- which i am diligently doing. This is my body. This is our child. And this is our pregnancy journey.

  • A number of critics feel Kat's decision not to vaccinate her child is both "irresponsible" and "selfish."

  • This hot-button debate won't be going away anytime soon.

Though the CDC strongly recommends vaccinations for children (and adults) to protect against harmful and preventable diseases -- and even vaccinations during pregnancy as the Tdap, for example, can help prevent whooping cough in babies -- at the end of the day, moms have to make what they feel is the best decision for their child.
