Chris Pratt has a busy summer ahead of him. Not only is his big induction into the Avengers movies happening, but the second installment in his Jurassic Park franchise is due to come out this May. Naturally, Chris is working the press circuit to promote his new flick, but what was a little unexpected was his opening up about his divorce from actress Anna Faris, which happened in August 2017.

Simply put? As Chris said:

"Divorce sucks."

He calls 'em like he sees 'em, folks.

But he also noted that the two are trying to make it work.-placeholder

But he also noted that the two are trying to make it work.

"But at the end of the day, we've got a great kid who's got two parents who love him very much. And we're finding a way to navigate this while still remaining friends and still being kind to one another. It's not ideal, but yeah, I think both of us are actually probably doing better."

To be fair, his ex-wife Anna hasn't held back about their marriage either.-placeholder

To be fair, his ex-wife Anna hasn't held back about their marriage either.

Anna Faris was first married to actor Ben Indra before the couple got divorced in 2008. Just one year later, she and Chris Pratt tied the knot, and she reportedly moved on with Overboard cinematographer Michael Barrett one month after her and Chris's breakup announcement.

She recently appeared on celebrity buddy Dax Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast and made some marriage confessions of her own:

"I need to figure out what the purpose [of marriage] is. Is it safety for your children? Is it convention? Is it so other people respect your relationship more? For me, I'm just not quite sure where it fits."

She also went on to echo Chris's sentiments, stating:

"We had an unbelievable marriage and we have a great friendship now ... And we love our son to death, and I'm really proud of that, because I'm not sure I did that well the first time."

Hey, if these two are keeping it together for the kid, that's all that matters.

We hope that no matter how they feel about each other, they can continue to co-parent like champs.
