Jessica Simpson's Fans Defend Photo of Her 7-Year-Old With Highlights
As sad as it is to say, we don't think there's been a time when this celebrity mom didn't get criticized for one of her parenting decisions. Case in point: Jessica Simpson's photo of her daughter's highlights is turning heads. Some are totally here for the 7-year-old expressing herself. Others, however, think it's a bit irresponsible given her age.
(Here we go ...)
The mom of three proudly showed off 7-year-old daughter Maxwell Drew's hair that's inspired by a popular Disney franchise.
"Inspired by The Descendants #901girl #MAXIDREW," Jessica Simpson writes in her post.
The Descendants is a Disney Channel movie franchise based on a series of novels that's initially set two decades after Belle and Beast (you know, Beauty and the Beast) come into power as king and queen, establishing the United States of Auradon. A number of familiar Disney characters find themselves in the mix that, in turn, spark a number of adventures of obstacles to overcome.
Well, many of her followers love Maxi's new look.
In addition to her 7-year-old, Jessica also has a 6-year-old son, Ace Knute, and a 4-month-old daughter named Birdie Mae with hubby Eric Johnson.
And then there are those who feel it's inappropriate.
Sadly, this isn't the first time Jessica Simpson got shamed for something surrounding Maxwell. Just last month, the celeb mom got berated for her 7-year-old daughter's school outfit.
Yes, a school outfit.
Guess what? This really isn't that deep.
Something tells us that Maxwell's hair isn't a permanent thing that can't get washed out. (She is 7 after all.) With all the madness going on in the world, it's so crazy what gets people's panties in a wad.
Relax, and move on.
