As we get older and look back over our lives, it's only natural to reflect on past decisions and what we hope to teach our children. Reese Witherspoon's revelations about getting married to Ryan Phillippe at 23 -- and having children at an age some might consider to be young -- is quite eye-opening, and it just might encourage her 18-year-old daughter Ava to choose a different course.

"I got married when I was 23 and I had two kids by the time I was 27," the 41-year-old mom of three (in addition to daughter Ava, 18, and son Deacon, 13, with ex-husband Ryan, Reese has son Tennessee, 5, with husband Jim Toth) explains during an interview on ITV's Lorraine show. "I don't know, sometimes it's good to know yourself [first]."

To clarify, the 41-year-old Academy Award winner does not regret becoming a wife and mother in her early 20s, but does think about her daughter possibly following in her footsteps.

"[I] would never change anything," Witherspoon quickly asserts during the interview. "I've said to my daughter, I think you know, at 25, you start to know yourself a little bit better."

Though Ava's future is still unwritten, she has a mother who loves her and can help guide her -- when and where needed -- along the way, which is just about all you can really ask for.
