Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are two of the most beloved pros on Dancing with the Stars. Fans have loved not only watching the pair on the ABC reality competition show, but also following the newlywed couple's posts of their now-6-month-old son Shai Aleksander. However, it sounds like Peta may be shifting her focus away from the ballroom and toward her baby boy. The professional dancer recently chatted with ET and opened up about how her priorities have changed since becoming a mom.

When asked if she's going to return to the show, the 31-year-old said, "To be honest, [Maks and I] don't know yet. We're sort of waiting to hear things, waiting to see what our schedules are gonna be like, so, yeah, I mean stayed tuned."

When pressed to "be real" about other details that may affect her return to the show, Peta confessed, "I don't want to spend 10 hours away a day from my child, so those things factor into it for me. I'm a mom now, and that comes first, you know?”

While it sounds like she's definitely not all-out dismissing the idea of returning to the show, she wants to make sure that whatever she commits to won't completely monopolize her time. It's a struggle every working mom can relate to. Unfortunately, not every parent has the opportunity to pick and choose or negotiate her schedule, as it sounds like Peta does.

Fingers crossed that opportunity means she'll be able to work something out with the show -- and be able to balance her hours in the ballroom with time spent with Shai. Otherwise, we're pretty sure fans will understand that she had to pass on DWTS to prioritize parenthood.
