British TV personality Katie Price is a pro at getting audiences riled up over controversial sound bites. The latest example of this: She appeared on UK talk show Loose Women yesterday and chatted with fellow guest Kathy Lette about hiring a prostitute for her autistic 15-year-old son Harvey. Harvey also suffers from partial blindness and a rare genetic disorder called Prader-Willi syndrome, a condition that is characterized by delayed development and an insatiable appetite.

  • Price shared that her husband Kieran Hayler had joked about actually hiring a sex worker for Harvey once he turned 18.

"Harvey is 15 now," the former model said of her son with former soccer player Dwight Yorke. "Naturally at 15 you go through puberty, and it's natural to experiment with yourself."

Price continued, "He hasn't got a clue about that side. What do you do, do I leave it?"

Of course, British tabloid the Sun ran with a headline that made it seem like tapping a prostitute for Harvey was a done deal.

  • And their Twitter followers freaked out.

  • Cue the tongue-wagging about the TV personality's parenting.

  • A lot of Twitter users couldn't even with this "news."

Many responses ranged from calling Price out for attention-seeking to being downright mystified by the possibility that she'd pay for her son to experience sex.

  • That said, not everyone had a negative take.

Some Twitter users weighed in, taking the position that perhaps Price is actually thinking in terms of what would be most beneficial for her son's sexual health.

Lette made a similar argument on the show, stating, "Autistic people have sexual needs too, and if the child expresses a desire, and a curiosity, then you might look into having those needs met." Her advice for Price when it comes to Harvey: "I think you wait and see if he's angst ridden about it and if it's an issue for him."

Either way, it's definitely controversial. And we shouldn't exactly be surprised that Price has gotten herself swept up in another jaw-dropping conversation. Not that it matters to her what critics say. As she told Now magazine earlier this week: "I don't give a s--t what anybody says about my mothering skills."

    Okay, then!
