Jessica Simpson's Daughter's Poses Are Not Sexy -- So Don't Go There

A little less than a week after being mom-shamed for posting a sweet family photo, this celeb Instgrammed another adorable pic that better not get tongues wagging. Jessica Simpson shared a photo with her mini-me daughter, Maxwell, as the two headed off on an adventure together.

The songstress captioned the cute mother-daughter snap "Wheels up to Waco!" followed by an airplane emoji and the hashtags #wheelsandheels and #MAXIDREW as well as this note about her son: "(Ace was too shy for the pic)."

Take a look at how precious these two are as they head off to a Dillard's event that benefited local Boys and Girls Clubs:

We love how Maxi is mimicking her mama -- but we're sure there are some out there who'll again come out of the woodwork to perhaps say that her stance is not appropriate for a 5-year-old.

Of course, here's hoping they don't, because you really have to wonder who would ever take a shot at a lovely little girl who's simply copying her mom. You know how that quote that goes "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery"? Clearly, Maxi looks up to her mom big-time. And how could she not? What little gal wouldn't want to have a mother as gorgeous and glamorous as Jessica Simpson?

It's awesome that Jess doesn't give a hoot about the ridiculous criticism (of both her and her daughter) that she received last week for sharing a fun family photo of Max's mermaid-themed party. In that photo, the little girl is striking a similar pose, which, again, it seems like she learned from her mom.

Trolls were quick to try to shame Simpson for allowing her daughter to look so "sexy," which shows there's a lot more wrong with those commenters than there is with Jess or her kids. If adults choose to sexualize a picture of a 5-year-old celebrating her birthday as a mermaid, they may need to take a long, hard look at themselves.

We're thrilled Jess isn't giving it a second's thought -- nor should she.
