It's been a few weeks since rumors began swirling that Janet Jackson is splitting from her husband of five years, Wissam Al Mana. Proud parents of their now 3-month-old son Eissa, the couple has left fans wondering whether or not things are okay and what's next for the beloved singer. Welp, we don't have to wonder anymore, as Janet Jackson is opening up about her life and the next chapter in a new video for her fans.

The 50-year-old new mom and R&B icon took to Twitter on May 1 to share a special message for her fans that serves the tea and then some.

"Hey you guys, it's me, Jan, in case you don't recognize me -- 'cause I have put on quite a few [pounds] since I had the baby," Janet begins. "But, I thank God, I thank God for him, you guys. He's so healthy, so beautiful, so sweet, so loving -- such a happy baby."

Aww!

(PS: Don't think we didn't hear your "more than a few" pound remark in the background, Randy. Hush up!)

In case you missed it, Janet shared a first look at her son Eissa on April 14 that has been melting our hearts ever since.

It's so great to hear baby Eissa is doing well and so happy, as he likely is a source of strength for Janet during her split with her husband. And, speaking of Wissam, Janet cuts right to the chase in her video, as the mom has no problem letting fans know what's going on in her marriage.

"I just want to keep it real with you guys for a second," Jackson notes. "Yes, I am separated from my husband. We are in court, and the rest is in God's hands."

Brief and to the point.

It's so sad to think Janet and Wissam reportedly split shortly after the birth of their son ... but I'm hoping these two are able to come to some mutual agreement or understanding that can make such a painful ordeal less complicated for the sake of their son Eissa -- without succumbing to mudslinging and ugliness that make it impossible to find some middle ground or take the high road.

Who the heck knows what will happen between these two.

... But one thing is for sure: Janet, Ms. Jackson if you're nasty, is headed back on tour!

Yas, Mama!

As Janet notes in her Twitter video, her Unbreakable tour has now been renamed the State of the World Tour, which has less to do about politics and more with "people, the world, relationships, and love."

"I want to thank you guys for your patience and for all of your support throughout the years," says Jackson in her video. "I am so excited. I cannot wait to see you on stage September 7. See you soon!"

Being a longtime Janet fan -- who still rocks out to "Rhythm Nation" and "That's the Way Love Goes" -- I wish nothing but the best for this mom on her endeavors.

Keep your head up, Janet.
