Janet Jackson Shares First Pic of 3-Month-Old Son That'll Totally Melt Your Heart

Janet Jackson on stage Ralph Notaro/Splash NewsJanet Jackson is reportedly headed for divorce, but there's still a lot of love in her life -- and her most recent Twitter post proves it! The 50-year-old singer shared a photo of her 3-month-old son Eissa for the very first time, and it's just as adorable as you'd expect ... but the best part is seeing how truly happy this new mama looks despite her current challenges.

Of course, it's hard to look anywhere at first besides Eissa's ridiculously cute face -- mid-yawn, no less! He. Is. BEAUTIFUL. But, so is his mother! Jackson is just stunning in this photo, and clearly so in love with being a mom. It's genuinely heartwarming:

There is still, naturally, something undeniably sad about this photo, knowing that Jackson and her husband, Wissam Al Mana, are allegedly splitting up after just a little more than five years of marriage. Divorce, even under the best of circumstances, is always difficult (especially when kids are involved). But while Jackson has yet to give an official reason for planning to end her marriage, some reports do say that it's amicable; others point to Al Mana's allegedly controlling ways during Jackson's pregnancy as a cause. A recent post directed at Jackson on Al Mana's personal website supports the amicable theory, at least:

"To the most beautiful person in the world, thank you for your divine love, your eternal support and for being my best friend," he wrote. "I love you so much, inshallah we will be together in the Great Forever x"

So obviously there are still some good feelings between this couple, at least on his side. And while still other rumors suggest that Jackson's motivation for the split might have something to do with money (she could be entitled to up to $200 million if they divorce), this seems unlikely. Yes, Al Mana is a billionaire, but Jackson is supposedly worth approximately $150 million herself, so she's obviously not in need.

It seems much more plausible to assume that becoming a mother jump-started a shift in Jackson's priorities, and that her son's birth served as a motivation for a major lifestyle change. As a mother of three, I know that having a baby has a way of making you see your life in a whole new perspective. It makes you think about what's working and what's not. Given her own turbulent childhood, I'm sure the last thing Jackson wants is to raise her child in a home filled with tension and fighting. And some differences just can't be worked out. As a longtime security guard for the Jackson family was quoted as saying in Page Six:

"She loves to be in control. She ceded that control [in marriage] and she was not happy about it. She wants to get back to being Janet Jackson and not Mrs. Wissam Al Mana or being the obedient Muslim wife."

Of course, we don't really know what prompted the split -- but, this is the woman who had a huge hit with the song "Control." According to unconfirmed reports, the singer wants to get back in the studio to record an album inspired by motherhood and could be planning to go back on tour.

So it seems as if little Eissa's birth was perhaps the beginning of a new chapter in Jackson's life, one where she gets back to her true self and makes time for the people and pursuits that matter most. Hopefully, she and Al Mana will be able to co-parent successfully through it all, but there's no question that Eissa is better off with a happy, healthy mama!
