Working Mom Peta Murgatroyd Captures the 'Glamour' of Pumping on the Go

You don't have to be a fan of Dancing With the Stars to know who Peta Murgatroyd is. (Okay, so maybe it would help.) Not only is she fierce with her samba rolls, but Peta also happens to be a new mom to her almost-3-month-old son Shai, whom she welcomed on January 4 with fiancé and costar Maksim Chmerkovskiy. And that, of course, makes her a source for hilarious mommy confessions. This photo of Peta Murgatroyd perfectly captures the woes of a working mom who breastfeeds, and it's anything but glamorous.

The 31-year-old recently took to Instagram, where she posted a selfie of how a nursing celeb mom really looks while trying to get sh*t done.

Flanked between jewelry, costumes, and stuffed animals for her baby, Peta happily admits her "milkshakes do not bring all the boys to the yard/trailer" as she photographs herself looking snatched and smokin' with her big ol' breast pump.

(BTW, the milkshake reference is a remixed lyric from Kelis's "Milkshake" song that refers to a woman's energy or prowess.)

Simply put: Pumping is not glamorous, not matter how much money you have or how camera-ready you look.

Peta's photo can pretty much get a universal "Amen!" as so many new mommies rearrange their schedules and try to fit in time to pump breast milk for their babies. It takes me back to days when I had to pump and go -- often pumping in the most unexpected places to get 'er done.

While this mom does have access to a team of people to help her, I love this honest moment that's so freaking relatable.

I'll admit, I haven't been watching this season of Dancing With the Stars (don't judge me ... I always forget), but I am rooting for this mama. Peta, girl -- you, dearie, are a fierce badass who is showing the world moms can compete with everyone else -- and three months after giving birth, no less!

Thank you for this fun share and showing another side to the "joys of motherhood." (Haha.)
