Snooki posted an adorable photo of the teachable moment to Instagram, and you can see that 4-year-old Lorenzo and 2-year-old Giovanna seem absolutely fascinated by their mom's abdomen. Why are they so enchanted by stretch marks? Probably because Snooki made them sound so badass:

Calling our stretch marks "tiger stripes," on the other hand, is a way to remind ourselves (and our kids) that motherhood makes us fierce and powerful. Because, as Snooki clearly knows, learning to truly accept ourselves isn't just crucial for our own well-being -- it's also such an important example to set for our kids. Not only will they be more likely to be confident and less critical of themselves, but they'll also grow up respecting and appreciating mothers and women for all that they do, not just their ability to fit some unrealistic standard of beauty.

Way to go, tiger mom!
