Janet Jackson Becomes a Mom at 50 -- Congratulations!

This singer has a new title to add to her repertoire -- mama. Janet Jackson (Ms. Jackson, if you're nasty) welcomed her first child with her husband, Wissam Al Mana, and we couldn't be happier for the couple, who are now parents to a baby ...

... boy! The "Rhythm Nation" singer and her hubby, a Qatari businessman whom she married in 2012, have named their little fella Eissa Al Mana. Different, right?

Eissa is of Hebrew origin, according to BabyNamePedia, and is so uncommon, it doesn't rank within the top 1,000 names. (That'll come in handy when he heads off to preschool!)

The pop star, who announced her pregnancy in April when she told fans she'd need to postpone the rest of her tour, had a "stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably," her rep told People.

That's great to hear and encouraging for moms over 40 who are expecting their first children.

Jackson has had a lot of support from family members throughout her pregnancy. Older brother Jermaine wished her well with these kind words he shared shortly after she announced her pregnancy:

"She'll be a great mother because she is very tough, very strict," said the father of nine."But I tell her, 'If you need any parenting skills or baby skills, let me know because I'm the best diaper changer there is on this planet, still to this day.'"

Sounds like Jermaine will be an amazing uncle, and with an offer like that, Janet may want to put him on speed dial!

Congratulations to the new parents! We can't wait to see a photo of their bundle of joy!
