Gisele Bundchen Gave Away Her Kids' Halloween Candy & I'm So Down With That

I oftentimes find myself so removed from celebrities and their way of living, but this supermodel is giving me life! Gisele Bundchen took her kids' Halloween candy away after allowing Benjamin, 3, and Vivian, 2, to only "try one" piece each. And as crazy as that might sound to some parents, I can totally (like totally) dig it!

No milk chocolate. No dark chocolate. No caramel. No toffee. No fruit-flavored edibles. Nothing.

The 36-year-old wife and mom has gone on the record saying she's just not about that Halloween candy life. Speaking with People about the trick-or-treating aftermath with her little ones, Gisele reveals:

We don't really have that kind of sugar in our house. I let them try one [piece], but they really only had one bite and then they didn't want it anymore.

Good for them, Mom!

That's right, children. You can get dressed up in whatever costume you'd like to go door to door, but eat your bounty of Halloween goodness you will not!

Access denied.

After all, who the hell needs to sit on a couch somewhere and unwrap hundreds of those itty-bitty wrappers full of horrible Tootsie Rolls, yucky bite-sized Milky Ways, and those God-awful Starbursts -- that only seem to dole out yellows and never any pinks?

I'll tell you who doesn't -- my household.

Gisele has inspired me to take a stand against this Halloween madness, the wizardry that kids should have candy, and reclaim the sweet treats that have been known to give children the craziest of sugar highs.

All I can think about right now is biting into a yummy Snickers as I allow that glorious piece of caramel to fall from my mouth before I devour it. Gisele might not have an issue, but the struggle for me to deny any piece of candy -- let alone chocolate -- is REAL.

Can't do it!

As much as I joke about not allowing my kids to have Halloween candy (if I took it, I'd be the one eating all the candy), I can't fault Gisele for enforcing a strict diet for her family. I mean, how many times have we been told stuff like high fructose corn syrup and LDL cholesterol (that's the bad kind) aren't good for us?

If this mom can prevent sugar addictions earlier on, more power to her.

Plus, it's not like Gisele Bundchen just threw out the candy. She told People she donated it to other kids who are less fortunate:

I said to them, 'You know, there are so many kids that don't get candy, and you guys got so many, some kids don't even get one!' And they're like, 'Oh, Mom, OK, you can give it to them if they don't get any.'

Ya see, no cavities for Gisele's kids and an opportunity to give back.

Win-win situation.
