Phrases like "A Lannister always repays his debts" and "All men must die, but we are not men" may mean little to the average person, but to those who watch HBO's Game of Thrones with devotion, they're emblematic of some of the series' most fascinating characters, of shifting alliances, unlikely romances, supernatural events, shocking power plays, and unexpected deaths. Over six seasons, the epic fantasy has gone from hit series to cultural phenomenon, thanks in large part to the fans who tirelessly rally the realm -- many of whom include A-list actors, filmmakers, and musicians.

Whether tweeting their reactions to each episode, donning T-shirts pledging their loyalty to one of the great Houses of Westeros, dressing up as their favorite characters, or gushing excitedly about a new piece of memorabilia, these celebrity super-fans are as curious as we are to know who will win the Game of Thrones.

Madonna

In March 2014, Madonna channeled Game of Thrones character Khaleesi to celebrate Purim, a Jewish holiday that's often fêted with costumes. Though she hasn't converted to Judaism, Madge has been a devoted Kabbalah follower for many years and feels a closeness to its Jewish mystical teachings. She also clearly feels like Khaleesi, the Mother of Dragons, is a kindred spirit. Her costume not only incorporates Khaleesi's platinum mane and the light blue dress with gold trim that's become synonymous with her character, but she actually had dragons perched atop her shoulders! Well, Madonna does know how to make fire — albeit in the recording studio!

Kerry Washington

If you follow Kerry Washington on Twitter, you know that she counts down the seconds until every new GoT episode and that she often watches the show alongside her mom. During this Jimmy Kimmel Live appearance, the Scandal star talked about how thrilled she was to run into Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (who plays Jamie Lannister on the show) backstage. Apparently, her mom is a big fan of the Kingslayer too!

Chloe Grace Moretz

Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising star Chloe Grace Moretz is clearly rooting for House Targaryen to reclaim the Iron Throne. While watching season 6's "Book of the Stranger" episode, in which Daenerys Targaryen aka Khaleesi set the Temple of the Dosh Khaleen ablaze and walked out unscathed, showing her immunity to fire, Moretz tweeted her approval.

Adam Lambert

The rocker's devotion to Game of Thrones runs so deep that he had a version of the Iron Throne designed for a November 2015 performance in Beijing.

Elizabeth Banks

Is Game of Thrones interfering with Elizabeth Banks's appetite? On May 22, the Hunger Games star and Pitch Perfect producer tweeted that, while she was at lunch, her thoughts were dominated by the previous night's GoT episode. And who can work up an appetite while envisioning the creepy, sinister-looking White Walkers? It's hardly the first time Banks has tweeted about the series. In June 2015, she tweeted about how she was preparing for the season finale through "deep knee bends and controlled breathing."

6/20

Joe Manganiello

Seeing as Joe Manganiello played werewolf Alcide Herveaux in HBO's True Blood, it's only logical that he would feel drawn to the fantasy world of Game of Thrones, where direwolves, shape-shifting Faceless Men, and three-eyed ravens abound. The actor, who live tweets during each episode, celebrated the season 6 finale with a delicious cake bearing the words "Valar Morghulis." The phrase, which translates to "All men must die," is a customary greeting in Essos and is heard throughout the series.

Kelly Clarkson

Game of Thrones superfan Kelly Clarkson got the ultimate present when HBO aired the season 6 premiere on her birthday: April 24. When @gameofthrones tweeted a teaser video with the reminder, "Rally the realm #GameofThrones returns tonight at 9pm on HBO," Clarkson coyly responded and added the hashtag #allaboutme to convey the humor in the tweet. It's her birthday and she can have GoT if she wants to!

Anna Kendrick

Pitch Perfect's Anna Kendrick had a total fan girl moment when HBO gifted her a Game of Thrones wooden chest monogrammed "House Kendrick." The actress is a longtime GoT viewer who regularly tweets her reactions to each episode. As a tribute to Khaleesi, she added one of the character's most memorable lines: "I am no ordinary woman; my dreams come true."

Benji Madden

Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden expressed his excitement over the season 6 GoT premiere through a tweet featuring a carefully selected assortment of series-related emojis, including a wolf, dragon, lion, crown, shield, castle, balanced scales, princess, crystal ball, and scroll. They do say emojis could become a new language!

10/20

Mindy Kaling

This actress, writer, and producer knows how to make a fashion statement. When she wore this House of Kaling T-shirt in honor of Game of Thrones, she knew it would give folks something to talk about. The comedy star has tweeted her allegiance to House Lannister and, during a May 2013 visit to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, the Mindy Project star gushed about how Jaime Lannister was even more attractive after losing his hand in season 3. "Now he's imperfect, and I might have a shot with him," she joked.

11/20

Kevin Smith

After season 6's "Hold the Door" episode, which revealed the tragic origin of Hodor's moniker, filmmaker Kevin Smith took to Twitter to express his shock. Apparently, the episode left Smith misty-eyed. We all know those tears weren't caused by a Drowned God, Kevin!

12/20

Beyonce

Like Daenerys Targaryen, Beyonce long had her eyes on the throne before she earned her rightful place as queen. Like Dany, Bey can walk through fire unscathed (well, at least on stage and in music videos!). But there's an even stronger connective thread between Beyonce and the Mother of Dragons. Actress Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys in the series, told Harper's Bazaar that Jay Z bought Beyonce a Game of Thrones dragon egg. Bey, who told People in 2012 that her perfect Sunday evening involved sipping a glass of red wine while watching Game of Thrones, is essentially our real-life Dragon Queen. Bow down, b*tches!

Kristin Chenoweth

Emmy-winning actress Kristin Chenoweth sang Game of Thrones' praises — literally. Most of us prepare for a new GoT episode by reaching for a bowl of popcorn or a glass of wine, but Chenoweth got ready for the June 6, 2016, episode through an operatic rendition of the show's theme song. Considering the instrumental nature of the theme song, Chenoweth's performance is all the more impressive.

14/20

Ellie Goulding

In November 2014, singer Ellie Goulding told British newspaper Metro that she'd drop everything if Game of Thrones producers offered her a cameo role on the series. "I would be there if they asked me," she gushed. "I would be right there." The "Love Me Like You Do" singer hasn't gotten that coveted cameo just yet, but she did get to sit on the Iron Throne and snap some photos for her Instagram followers and Facebook fans!

15/20

Joe Jonas

Joe Jonas will not let the 24/7 social media chatter ruin his Game of Thrones experience! When he missed the season 6 premiere due to a DNCE performance in Amsterdam, he refrained from looking at his phone the following morning so he could catch up on his viewing without coming across any spoilers on the Internet.

16/20

Dax Shepard & Kristen Bell

This couple is not afraid to geek out together over Game of Thrones. The two attended the Game of Thrones premiere in April 2016 wearing matching tank tops emblazoned with the phrase "Stark in the Streets/Wildling in the Sheets" and flaunting temporary chest tattoos (hers read, "Ours Is the Fury," while his read, "Winter Is Coming"). Apparently, they hardly blended in with the crowd, but they didn't care! In fact, they stopped and posed for an Instagram pic in front of a three-eyed raven sculpture. Now, that's dedicated fandom!

Natasha Bedingfield

Leave it to signer Natasha Bedingfield to find a "pocketful of sunshine" in the often dark Game of Thrones universe. In a May 2016 tweet, Bedingfield quoted an exchange between Jon Snow and Davos in which the former bemoaned having failed at a mission and the latter responded, "Good, now go on and fail again." Bedingfield referenced Davos's words of encouragement to remind all of her Twitter fans that it's okay to fall down as long as you can pick yourself back up and try again!

18/20

Sarah Hyland

When Game of Thrones is on the air, you can count on Modern Family star Sarah Hyland to live tweet during each episode, often capturing what we're all thinking. After the shocking season 5 finale, when Jon Snow was left for dead, Hyland tweeted, "Wait. What? Wait. I can't. Wait. What? Stop." After season 6's "Hold the Door" episode, she expressed her heartache with a tweet that included emoji faces with rivers of tears streaming down their eyes. Similarly, her Instagram feed is brimming with photos that reference the series, like this coat of arms poster with her house name and sigil, which she created via HBO's JoinTheRealm.com.

19/20

Christina Perri

Singer Christina Perri captured our collective reaction to the Game of Thrones season 6 finale when she tweeted this all-too-fitting Aladdin GIF. We're still trying to pick up our jaws off the floor!

20/20

Ed Sheeran

Remember the giddy excitement you felt on Christmas morning when you opened those shiny gifts under the tree? Well, Ed Sheeran had a similar reaction when, in April 2015, he received a Jon Snow sword as a belated birthday present during an appearance on a New Zealand radio show. The "Thinking Out Loud" singer's reaction is all too endearing — and proof of just how big a fan he truly is! "You guys are my favorite people in the whole entire world," he gushed. "I'm so happy!"
