The World Is on Fire, but People Still Have Time to Mommy-Shame

Kristin Cavallari and Jenni 'JWoww' Farley

If case you didn't get the memo, mom-shaming is horrible and helps no one. Sadly, too many people throw stones at parents -- including celebrity moms. This weekend alone, Kristin Cavallari was mom-shamed for "starving her kids," while Jersey Shore alum Jenni "JWoww" Farley caught flak for allowing her baby son to be in a pool. Seriously, this is what keeps us up at night?

You would think with all the horrifying events -- happening both here in the US and overseas -- that folks would rally together, but obviously, that's not the case.

First up is Kristin, who had to reassure people she wasn't starving her children (no, seriously), because trolls think her tots look too thin.

"Sometimes when parents eat so healthy they neglect the nutritional needs of the child," wrote one commenter.

"You can see the back of their rib cage. Wtf you dumb bi***! They are growing boys!!! They need to eat non stop!!!" snapped another.

The comments got so bad that Kristin Cavallari felt the need to respond on Instagram, saying, "Yep, I starve my children. Just blocked the most people I’ve ever blocked in my entire life."

But wait, there's more!

Perfect parents and critics turned their fury to JWoww after she posted this photo of her 2-month-old son Greyson in the pool with Dad.

Even though baby Greyson wasn't doing any laps on his own, still, people couldn't help themselves by trying to let Mom have it.

"Way too small for a pool," wrote one person.

"Put sunscreen on that child," criticized another.

Well, if you ever watched Jersey Shore (it was a guilty pleasure of mine), you know this mama has NO problems clapping back. JWoww sounded off in a new Instagram post to call out her haters and shut folks up once and for all.

First off, my son is two months and in a salt water pool up to his belly ... Probably for a total of 3 minutes.

My son actually does have sunscreen on. It's the same concept as diaper cream. Probably even better than the crap sh*t you lather your children in. Remember ass holes im in the tanning industry and pride myself on knowing this.

With so many people dying and starving in this world, it's hard to wrap my head around this. With so many bigger issues that we, as the human race, need to tackle, I can't understand why some take time out of their day -- and likely away from their own kids -- to spit such negativity at other people.

Yes, it's easy for all of us to think we know what's right. But that doesn't mean it's okay to make it your mission to personally attack others. Just be quiet and try to find something more productive to do with your time.

The only thing your mom-shaming does is show what a horrible person you can be.

Do better.
