Motherhood is a unique experience that leaves you with a type of love you never quite imagined, and the bond that moms have with their children truly reflects that. For single moms, that bond is only amplified and becomes unlike anything else you know. As the child of a single mom, I can't even begin to describe it to you, but I know it when I see it -- and it's definitely something worth celebrating!

We've rounded up 13 super-cool celeb moms who make our insides flutter of fondness over the incredible bond they have with their kiddos, and guess what? They're all single mamas.

  • Britney Spears

We never questioned Brit's capabilities as a mom, but needless to say that ever since she bounced back from the notorious meltdown of 2007, her mommy game has been impeccable.

In the letter she wrote for the boys in Time, we got a glimpse at the strength and courage that got our girl Brit through the rough patch -- it's also some solid mom-advice for anyone, as it reads:

I pray as a mother I teach you strength and passion to carry through the struggles in the world. Most battles will always be won on your knees. I pray you find your dreams.

We love that her passion for motherhood radiates nothing but the utmost joy and love.

  • Gwen Stefani

Stefani's rock star status goes beyond the stage and translates in her open-minded, loving parenting style.

When interviewed by the PrideSource, Stefani was asked how she'd react if one of her sons came out as gay and she responded: "I would be blessed with a gay son. You know that I would feel blessed about that. I just want my boys to be happy and healthy."

And that there is why we can't get enough of this mom -- because every amazing mom accepts and loves her children unconditionally.

  • Taraji P. Henson

If watching Empire ever makes you wonder how Taraji works as a mom IRL, it was the incident regarding her son Marcel's racial profiling that confirmed Cookie Henson is a no-nonsense type of mom.

The Howard alum made the decision that her son would no longer be transferring into the University of Southern California after he was racially profiled during his time in the area -- she decided he'd be just fine at the historically black institute, Howard University.

The actress bluntly told Uptown magazine, "I'm not paying $50K so I can’t sleep at night wondering is this the night my son is getting racially profiled on campus."

We hear you, girl, we hear you.

  • Teri Hatcher

Sure, Teri Hatcher only played alongside Superman, but she's every bit the hero to her daughter -- always making her top priority (a teeny bit opposite of her Desperate Housewives character, Susan).

In fact, she once told The View, "I've always made mothering the priority of my life. Over my career, over everything" -- and that's something that most all single moms can relate to.

  • Madonna

Into your eyes..........,.,...my face remains. 💕paradise, not for me

We tend to overuse the term "feminist," but I think all would agree that Madonna was and is a major feminist staple.

So with that said, who better to have has a mom? Someone not afraid of owning sexuality (especially now that her children are getting older). Someone passionate about her work -- on and off the stage.

But, we truly love her because she's a realist when it comes to motherhood. Last year, during her interview for ITV, the singer told the host Jonathan Ross:

I just ask my daughter to make wise decisions and to do things in moderation and to try not to mix her alcohol. I am not going to say, 'No, don't do it' because that is just absurd. And it is not fair.

A mother of two (Max and Summer), Christina Aguilera gives us the realest advice ever when she admits to several rough patches in parenting -- one of which is what she refers to as "mom guilt."

She reminds us that we're not alone in not "knowing all the right answers" and that there are times that we just ... won't.

    Word, Christina. Word.

  • Kate Hudson

It's freaking Kate Hudson -- I mean, I'm grown and I want her as a mom (obvi, willing to settle for friendship). Nevertheless, she's seemingly the "cool mom" we all wanted; plus, there are always kudos for any mom raising two boys.

It's only a plus that she admitted in an essay for InStyle what most mother's are probably thinking.

"I'd prefer to watch 'The Bachelor' rather than do fractions and divisions," she said. Oh and, even better? She "hides" from her kids from time to time -- but who hasn't been there?

  • Padma Lakshmi

During an interview with the Today show, Lakshmi (who suffers from endometriosis) admitted she didn't always know the paternity of her daughter and basically told the world "so what."

Props to her on "owning her history," especially because -- as she pointed out -- "men do it all the time."

  • Denise Richards

Mother to Sam, Lola, and Eloise, Richards has done an amazing job at shielding her children from the public eye that she watched destroy her ex, Charlie Sheen. Not easy. Not easy at all.

  • Kourtney Kardashian

Kourtney Kardashian is mom to Mason, Reign, and of course Penelope -- her only little girl. We've come to know Kourt as the naturalista mom of the pack, but now she's the feminist mama too.

Recently, Kardashian was quick to check her own mom for dropping the f-bomb ("f-bomb" being the word "fat") in front of her little girl -- protecting her from the harsh standards women face, even at a young age.

  • Halle Berry

As a single mom of two -- Maceo and Nahla -- Berry has found that the best thing she can do for her children is to teach them the importance of being humble.

Specifically, she stressed to E! the importance of teaching her little girl to give back -- a core value we can all get behind.

  • Goldie Hawn

Goldie Hawn had two children with ex Bill Hudson -- Kate and Oliver. While, he hasn't been a part of their lives since they were young children, the kids seemingly adore their mother and her longtime boyfriend, Kurt Russell.

And she seems to have raised two tough children, despite their having a father who could say something as hurtful as he did in his statement shortly after his son Oliver's bitter father's day post last year -- in which he candidly revealed to the Daily Mail:

I had five birth children but I now consider myself a father of three. I no longer recognise Oliver and Kate as my own ... I would ask them to stop using the Hudson name. They are no longer a part of my life. Oliver's Instagram post was a malicious, vicious, premeditated attack. He is dead to me now. As is Kate. I am mourning their loss even though they are still walking this earth.

  • Selma Blair

Blair recently had a rough week in the press, but she was able to joke it off after her in-flight ordeal -- reminding the press what a "saving grace" it was that her little boy was sleep with his headphones on when the whole thing went down.

Furthermore, she shows us that along the road in motherhood we will make mistakes (because we're human, duh) and it will all be okay ... eventually.
