First Photo of Blake Lively's Baby Girl Is Too Cute for Words

It's here! The first official photo of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynold's baby girl. The celeb parents have been notoriously secretive about baby James, who joined the family last December. They didn't even reveal her name until March!

Without further ado, here's the sweet photo of James and her daddy.

Thumb wrestling isn't always fair. Curiously, my hand is the small one.

It's just a glimpse, but we love so many things about this photo! First, it's awesome that Ryan is the one who posted it. Dads in general these days seem to be more involved than ever, and it was so cool for Blake to let her hubby be the first to share a photo.

It also makes us eager for more pics to come! Blake almost instantly re-grammed the post, and added, "...and with that, my husband @vancityreynolds joins Insta." Yup, Ry just joined the photo-sharing social media platform, which means we'll be watching it like a hawk for future photos of little James.

Plus, even though it's just her hand, it's kind of nice to see so many celebs following the recent trend of keeping their newborns out of the spotlight, instead of scheduling them for extensive photo shoots when they're just days or weeks old. Not that the kid would particularly care, but when you're in an industry where looking good is part of the job description, it's bound to put undue pressure on mom to be camera-ready, when all she really wants to do is snuggle her baby and sleep.

Even though we haven't seen James' face yet, Blake sure seems to think Ryan has some strong genes. She told Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan last month that their daughter definitely takes after her dad. She said, "I think she looks like her daddy ... I want a maternity test! ... If not, I'm not sure about this kid... She never left our sight, but..."

We're sure that James is just gorgeous. I mean, look at her parents -- how could she not be?

Do you think it's good that more celeb parents are keeping their newborns out of the spotlight?
