Star-Struck 10-Year-Old Brings Out the Softie in Adam Levine

Adam Levine may have somewhat of a bad boy reputation, but he and the rest of his band made our hearts melt a little bit today. A 10-year-old Maroon 5 superfan got to meet his idols, and the guys went above and beyond to make the experience incredible for him.

Christopher Warren isn't your typical, run-of-the-mill kid. He has Down syndrome, as well as absolutely adoring the band Maroon 5, and especially Adam Levine.

Christopher's teacher, Avery Stanert, took an adorable video of him rocking out to Maroon 5, and sent it out to a local radio station in hopes of making some sort of connection.

"He has just been fascinated with Maroon 5 and especially Adam Levine," said Stanert, a special needs teacher at West Friendship Elementary School. "He loves to listen to their music during work breaks. He draws pictures of them. He just absolutely loves them."

"I tweeted it out to the Kane Show who got him [Christopher] backstage passes," she said. "I know that when he went backstage Adam Levine said that he had seen the video at that point."

More from The Stir: Adam Levine Is Definitely Going to Be a Dad

Yup, this adorable kiddo got backstage passes to meet Maroon 5. But wait -- it gets even better. The little dude got completely overwhelmed meeting his idols, and all he could do was lie down on the floor. He was with his mom and several teachers, but it was just too much for him to handle.

Levine had already put Christopher at the end of his line of VIP greetings, so he could spend more time with him, so you'd think he'd be over the whole meet-and-greet scene by then, and frustrated by his antics. Instead, the entire band got right down on the floor with Chris and made him feel right at home!

Does that totally put a smile on your face or what? It's so nice to know that there are decent people in the world who don't hesitate to do something weird to help a child feel special, or even just normal.

Bravo to Maroon 5 for showing that there are many ways to connect to other human beings, and congrats to Christopher for getting to meet his awesome favorite band.

Do you think Adam Levine did a good thing?
