Rapper Ludacris' Custody Battle Has Unusual Ending

ludacrisAfter a whirlwind custody battle, Ludacris has officially won custody over his daughter with his ex, Tamika Fuller. The 37-year-old rapper attended family court where the judge granted him primary physical custody over his 1-year-old daughter, Cai.

TMZ reports that the fight for custody wasn't easy. The judge reviewed the case from an independent expert and relied on testimonies and found Ludacris (real name: Christopher Bridges) to be the more fit parent. He told TMZ:

I am gratified that the judge found me to be the most fit and proper parent to have primary physical custody of our beautiful daughter.

During the battle, Fuller claimed Ludacris was initially against the pregnancy and even asked her for an abortion. Ludacris fired back by saying that those statements were damaging to his reputation and proof that he would be a more fit parent.

It's undoubtedly a difficult time for the family, but it's not a story we hear too often. It's so rare for dads to get full custody, but it's so great to see Luda being a good dad and fighting for his daughter.

It'll be a hard road ahead as the couple co-parent their little girl, but when both parents are eager and enthusiastic about caring for the baby, let's hope that they can stay amicable.

Are you surprised Ludacris got primary custody?
