Kelly Clarkson Shares the Truth About Her Pregnancy

Kelly ClarksonMorning sickness is something a lot of moms (but not all -- those lucky broads) experience, but a select few get it so badly that they have to be hospitalized. Kelly Clakson recently revealed an interview that she ended up in the hospital when she was pregnant with River Rose, now seven months old.

The American Idol alum was chatting with Nick Grimshaw on BBC's Radio 1 Breakfast Show on Tuesday, January 12, when she opened up about her "horrible" pregnancy. Apparently it was so bad that it landed her in the hospital.

We knew that she had a rough pregnancy -- she even told Ellen DeGeneres that she had thrown up right before coming onstage for her interview. She's just keeping it real, y'all.

But we had no idea it was so bad that it landed her in the hospital! Clarkson, 32, told Grimshaw that she had "such a horrible pregnancy" the first time around.

"I was hospitalized," she confessed. "It was just kind of a bad pregnancy, so I had to take off way more time than normal."

But that doesn't mean for one second she's done having babies. In fact, she loves being a mom so much that she joked about chasing her husband, Brandon Blackstock, around for another one. "I love it. I love it," she gushed about motherhood. She continued, bragging about her baby, "She's pretty awesome."

That's when she quipped, "And my husband is running from me because I want another one." Well, eventually, anyway. "I want another one in like, a year," she revealed.

Meanwhile, she's enjoying having what she refers to as the "perfect tour baby," due to the tyke's love of loud music. "She's so weird, she loves loud music to go to sleep to," Clarkson said. "She's the perfect tour baby. She goes to rehearsals, and when we all start playing, she goes to sleep. And when we stop, she starts crying."

She also that she's "really stoked" for people to hear her seventh studio album, Piece by Piece, out in March. "It's a bit of an evolution," she teased.

She also shared with Elvis Duran on Tuesday that River is on one of the tracks, "Heartbeat Song." Well, sort of ... her heart beat is on it. "From when she was in my tummy!" she shared excitedly.

Sounds like life post-pregnancy is going swimmingly for Kelly Clarkson! Hopefully she won't suffer quite so badly with her second pregnancy as her first, should she decide to give it another go. Unfortunately, that's not usually the case (just ask Kate Middleton), but hey, a girl can hope, can't she?

Would you try to get pregnant again if you'd been hospitalized the first time?
