Nicole Kidman Would Do Anything to Be Pregnant Right Now

Some women embrace the day when their children are out of diapers, can pour a bowl of cereal for themselves, and will even let them sleep in an hour or two on a Saturday morning while they entertain themselves with cartoons. But Nicole Kidman is definitely not one of them. The Australian actress, who is 47 and has two young children with husband Keith Urban AND two adopted children she shares with former husband Tom Cruise, says she waits and crosses her fingers each month -- in the hopes that she will find out she's pregnant again.

The Oscar-winner revealed in an interview with Elle magazine that she and Urban got right to work after getting married in 2006 and gave birth to daughter Sunday Rose in 2008 and her sister Faith Margaret in 2010.

"I had my last one at 43," she said. "My grandmother had her last at 49. Every month, I'm like, 'I hope I'm pregnant! ... I wish I was!'"

I admire Kidman's attitude and find it super sweet that she loves children so much that she wants to continue to add to her family. I also don't feel her age is a factor because, as long as she is healthy and has her doctor's blessing, there is no reason why she shouldn't become pregnant if that's what she wants to do.

On the other hand, holy Moses, has she forgotten how much work it is to take care of a newborn?! Did a little bit of distance and time take away the memory of those sleepless nights, the colic, breastfeeding challenges, trips to the doctor, teething, tantrums, and so on?

I, personally, would take this time in my life to enjoy my four children -- but there are some women on the planet who seem to be blessed with boundless energy. Good for Nicole -- we hope to see her with a baby bump ASAP.

What do you think about Nicole's desire to be pregnant again?
