Alyssa Milano Quits 'Mistresses' Because Being a Mom Comes First

Just one month after giving birth to her second child, daughter Elizabella Dylan, Alyssa Milano has announced that she is leaving Mistresses, the ABC drama on which she's played Savannah (Savi) Davis for the past two seasons.

The reason is one that many moms can relate to.

In a post on her personal site, Milano says, "Being a mother and wife comes first."

After two wonderful seasons in Los Angeles, the studio has decided to shoot season three of Mistresses in Vancouver, Canada for financial reasons. It's with a heavy heart that I have decided that I can't relocate.

I have two babies under 4. Being a mother and wife comes first and I just cannot uproot my children and separate the family by moving away. I will miss this job desperately and wish everyone the absolute best.

We feel for Milano. This was obviously a difficult decision to make. Whether you're a celebrity or not, being forced to choose between the obligations of motherhood, marriage (her hubby is CAA agent David Bugliari), and career is tough. Sometimes we can make it work. And sometimes we can't.

We're bummed that we won't be seeing Milano as Savi Davis anymore, but we're pretty sure that this won't be the last we see of her on the screen. This is just for now. This job didn't work for her family, another one will.

In the meantime, Milano has lots of fun in store for her as she spends time with her adorable month-old baby girl and 3-year-old son Milo Thomas. We hope she keeps posting pictures!
