Kristin Cavallari Reveals Her Plans for Baby #2

kristin cavallariI feel like I was writing about the birth of Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler's baby Camden just the other day, but he's already a year old. And for these two parents that means it's time to get busy making Camden a sibling. Kristen Cavallari says they're working on baby number two now. Well, not right now right now. Actually, for all we know, they may very well be doing what needs to be done at this very moment... okay, never mind. We don't need that level of detail. The point is, Kristin and Jay are ready to grow their family.

Kristen recently told E! News:

We want to have a second sooner rather than later. We're working on it! We know we want another one close in age to Camden and we're at the point where we're both ready. Before Camden was born, I thought I'd be pregnant again by the time he was six months, but I definitely wasn't ready. Now, I'm finally ready.

Isn't it always that way? Before you have your first child you start planning your family -- but then that baby arrives and a lot of us start re-thinking those plans we were so sure of. Kristen is smart to want to space her babies close together. A lot of parents I know have done it this way, and they've been glad. But six months is quick! You just never know what motherhood is going to be like until you're in the thick of it. Almost everyone underestimates how difficult and intense it is. I don't blame Kristin for pushing that second baby by another six months.

Kristin says she's hoping for a girl this time, but she's be really happy with another boy, too. Well, she's young, so she could keep going with more babies until she gets that little girl. I'm kidding. I mean, it took four babies for Victoria Beckham to get Harper. But I think we're getting ahead of ourselves here. One step at a time -- I'm sure we'll hear a happy announcement from Kristen and Jay within a few short months.

Did you change your family planning after your first baby?
