1. Angelina Jolie
The actress, humanitarian, mother, wife, and now director of her latest film, Unbroken, topped the "Most Admired Women" list and we're not really surprised. She's made headlines in the past year for her marriage to Brad Pitt (who came in as the 13th Most Admired Man), was appointed an Honorary Dame Commander by the Queen, and co-chaired the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict.
2. Malala Yousafzai
The Pakistani activist is the youngest woman to make the top 10 on this list. She is also the youngest-ever Nobel Prize laureate (which she won in 2014 at the age of 17) and has actively spoken out for the education of young people and girls, and against the suppression of children.
3. Hillary Clinton
The former Secretary of State, Senator, and First Lady comes in at third. In 2014, she published her second memoir, Hard Choices, has been rumored to run for President in 2016, and became a grandmother when daughter Chelsea gave birth to baby Charlotte!
5. Michelle Obama
2014 was a paramount year for the First Lady of the United States. Michelle Obama traveled with daughters Malia and Sasha to China, where she toured historical sites, joined the #bringbackourgirls campaign, and continued to serve in her role as the head of the Let's Move! campaign.
6. Celine Dion
Powerhouse singer Celine Dion is an absolute household name. Known for hits like "My Heart Will Go On" and "Because You Loved Me" (just to name a few), she's held a Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace for years. Unfortunately, in August 2014, she postponed all her business indefinitely due to her husband's ailing health.
7. Oprah Winfrey
Oprah, O, Winfrey, the woman has many names. But that's what makes her one of the most admired women on this planet. Though she has ended her long-running eponymous show, she continued her philanthropic work and is even starring in and producing films. This awards season, you can find her with the cast and crew of Selma.
