Snooki Is Going to Get Skinnier & Skinnier Until We Stop Ignoring Her

SnookiEver since she welcomed baby Lorenzo back in August, Snooki has been tweeting photos of her skinny post-baby body -- and everyone is amazed at just how fast she's shedding her pregnancy pounds. But at the same time, people seem to be very quick to comment on just how many slim post-baby photos she's been sharing, leading some to believe she has a major obsession with her post-baby body.

Judging from how often she flaunts what she's got, she definitely does seem preoccupied with returning to her minuscule pre-baby size. But then again, doesn't every new mom obsess over that very same thing? And aside from wanting to show off their weight loss, don't most new moms seek out extra attention after giving birth, considering everyone basically forgets about you once that baby arrives?

Face it, as soon as junior enters the picture, all anyone really cares about is hearing all about junior and seeing photos of junior. And while that's all well and good (not to mention expected), it's kind of tough to come off being showered with attention during pregnancy and go straight into being practically ignored.

And when everyone else is obsessing over your baby, it can make you feel like less of an individual -- but as moms start to see their baby weight dropping off, they start to feel more and more like themselves again.

Or at least that's how it went for me when I had my son. I had a tough time adjusting to the whole motherhood thing, but I noticed a definite shift in my mood and demeanor once those last few pounds of baby weight started coming off and I saw my pre-baby self staring back at me in the mirror again. And if I'd had Twitter and Facebook back then, I'm sure I would've showed off my weight loss progress to gain praise from friends and family too.

It's only natural to want to hear good things about yourself, so I say more power to Snooki for not being afraid to share her amazing post-baby body with the world. She should be proud of her accomplishments and should be able to share them without people giving her a hard time for wanting to share them. Who can fault her for seeking the attention she deserves? (Keep those photos comin', Snooki!)

Have you been obsessed with your post-pregnancy weight loss since your baby arrived? And have you felt kind of left out as far as getting attention goes?
