If Honey Boo Boo Doesn’t Like Being on TV, What’s That Say About Her Mom? (VIDEO)

Honey Boo Boo on Dr. DrewIt's no secret that Honey Boo Boo's family isn't into this whole Here Comes Honey Boo Boo franchise for the money. Hell, they even turned down a brand spanking new house courtesy of TLC. Turns out that the pint-sized pageant princess isn't really into all the fame, either. Six-year-old Alana Thompson told HLN's Dr. Drew that she doesn't like being on TV and her fans bother her.

If she doesn't like being on TV, why would they renew for a second season? Mama June, are you listening to your daughter here?

First things first, let's take a peek at the clip:

Wow. What a ham, huh? I don't know about you, but my mom always taught me never to pretend to sleep when people are talking to me. Granted, I'm not an overworked 6-year-old.

To be honest, I feel bad for Alana. Whether or not she's just playing for the cameras, I think being in the spotlight all the time has gotta be taxing on a girl her age. If she really means what she's saying, then I think Mom should most definitely be taking notes.

Before the Boo Boos (as I like to call 'em) were "famous," they were just a regular ol' Southern family. Now, there are camera crews. There are photo shoots. To Alana's dismay, there are fans. I suggest June really thinks: Is this the kind of upbringing that she wants for her daughter? Most importantly: Is this something she's going to be able to look back on when she's older and have no regrets? In my eyes, the answer to those questions is definitely not.

Do you think Honey Boo Boo really isn't into having her own TV show? If you were her mother, would you call it quits?
