Autistic Girl's Beautiful 'Firework' Duet With Katy Perry Will Move You to Tears (VIDEO)

Katy Perry & Jodi DiPiazza at Comedy Central's Night of Too Many StarsSometimes you watch a video and it gives you the chills. This afternoon I watched a video and it made me bawl like an infant. At Comedy Central's "Night of Too Many Stars," which airs this Sunday, October 21, Jodi DiPiazza, a young girl living with autism, got to live out one of her biggest dreams performing alongside one of her biggest idols, Katy Perry.

The segment starts with Jodi's back story, and her mother telling cameras that she felt like all the dreams she and her husband had for their daughter were shattered when they found out she was autistic at 2 years old. She says that they weren't sure if she'd ever be able to really speak, and miraculously, she found music and it became her outlet.

Cut to Jodi playing the intro to Katy Perry's "Firework," and a shot of her, so small, sitting behind a massive grand piano alongside Perry. The performance that followed is nothing short of breathtaking.

Absolutely moving. To think how meaningful that was for both Jodi and her parents gives me the chills. She's so young and this is such an epic moment that she will vividly remember for the rest of her life.

Katy Perry tweeted the next day that she would never forget that night and that "it was the most important moment thus far" of what she does, and you could really tell it in her facial expression.

You're beautiful, Jodi. Keep on being a rockstar.

Were you moved by Jodi and Katy's performance?
