Kendall Jenner Is Lucky to Have the Kardashians as Big Sisters

kendall jennerI've always thought that one of the best gifts you can give to your child is a sibling (or siblings). This is probably because I'm an only child and don't have any of those first-hand exasperating experiences that make people resent their brothers and sisters for decades, but still, I like to think siblings are a good thing in general.

Especially if you're Kendall Jenner. The 16-year-old gets all kinds of useful advice on navigating the choppy waters of celebrity from her big sisters, as she told TeenPROM magazine (Jenner is the 2012 cover girl).

Among the most useful tips, I would imagine, is the following:

Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney told their little sister "not to listen to what other people say because people are mean."

Indeed. And apparently Jenner actually listens to her sisters' counsel. "I just don't look at the Internet and what people say because it can bring you down," she says.

It must be such a comfort to Kris Jenner, knowing that her elder daughters are looking out for the younger kids. Because as we all know, the last people teens want to listen to are their parents. Any 16-year-old girl is 100 times more likely to listen to her older sisters than her mom, especially if those older sisters happen to be THE Kardashians.

I don't know if my kids will value each other's opinions when they get to be teens or not, but I hope they somehow find a way to learn from each other on a daily basis.

Not lessons on avoiding sex tape scandals or sham marriages, but you know what I mean.

Do you think Kendall Jenner's big sisters give her good advice?
