Maggie Gyllenhaal Appears 6 Months Pregnant, But I'm Not Telling (PHOTO)

Maggie GyllenhaalSo the rumor patrol is "reporting" all over today that Maggie Gyllenhaal is pregnant with Baby #2 -- a whopping 6 months along, they're saying even -- but Maggie and husband Peter Sarsgaard have yet to confirm a pregnancy. I happened to have run into Ms. Gyllenhaal myself in a popular East Village eatery a few weeks ago and speculated long and hard on the state of her "with childness." However, this news is simply not mine to tell. No matter how big that baby bump was!

I sort of gasped when Maggie Gyllenhaal popped in with a friend and began eating a salad just around the bar from me and my friend. I stared at my lamb shank and tried to appear to be NOT-starstruck. She's such a great actress! A favorite of mine! Maggie is also spectacularly fresh-faced and gorgeous in real life (and taller than I thought), and I was sort of just sitting there in awe over her pretty pink cheeks when I just happened to notice a little roundness (more like a lot) peeking up from under the bar counter.

But did I then run to my computer and break her pregnancy story here on The Stir? No, I sure did not. And right now, am I telling you she's surely pregnant and I saw it with my own two eyes because the rumor mill is speculating about her bump loudly today or because, well, just look at the photo above already? Absolutely not. My lips are totally sealed about Maggie Gyllenhaal's "possible" pregnancy, as well as the fact that she was totally giving her belly those long, soft, soothing "preggo rubs" when I saw her in person.

It's not up to me to tell the world that this lovely celebrity couple is expecting a baby brother or sister for their 5-year-old daughter Ramona. Not up to me at all. So I'm not saying anything -- except Congratulations, I mean, if it turns out to be true and all ...

Edited to add: Maggie's rep has confirmed! It's a baby! You heard it here second. :)

Do you think Maggie Gyllenhaal is pregnant?
