Jon Gosselin Opens Up About Kate's 'Personality Disorders' in Explosive Interview

Jon Gosselin on The Doctor Oz Show

Things are still messy 10 years after Jon and Kate Gosselin went their separate ways, and now, one half of the former couple is spilling even more details about what may have contributed to their split. During an appearance on the Dr. Oz Show on November 18, Jon opened up about how fame affected his relationship with Kate, and honestly, it does sound like Jon & Kate Plus 8 really did lead to their downfall as a couple.

  • Jon says that he felt like fame and money made him see "personality disorders" in Kate that he hadn't been aware of before.

"Fame's different only because fame … things are given to you. You're held to a higher standard. You're put on a pedestal … the attention, it’s almost like a drug," Jon told Dr. Oz on the show. "Like an addiction. And once you have that, and that lifestyle, you can see certain tendencies in people. It just … it feeds and feeds and feeds.”

It makes sense -- after all, their lives did drastically change once they became the stars of a hit TLC show.

  • It's not surprising to hear this. After all, Jon and Kate haven't been on great terms for years, and that has extended to their children.

In fact, although Jon has custody of their kids Hannah and Collin now, it doesn't seem like he gets to spend time with his other children much if at all -- and it's hard to say how much Kate's opinion of Jon is playing into why that is.

But to make matters worse, earlier this year, Jon said Kate hasn't seen Collin since he left his treatment center and came to live with him, making the situation even more complicated.

  • In September, Jon admitted that he "fears" for his children who are still in Kate's care.

In an interview with DailyMailTV, Jon shared what his kids have said about living with Kate, and it wasn't good.

"I have two kids in my house who left a whole pile of money behind. They left fame and money and came to my house. They left it all behind," Jon admitted. "They have all said they have to film because they feel they need to provide a lifestyle for their mother. They don't want to film. They said they have to film. That's heartbreaking. Why do my kids need to provide for themselves? They're kids."
  • Jon and Kate will probably never get along, and we have a feeling this new interview isn't going to help matters.

But at least Jon's finally in a place where he feels comfortable sharing his own experience -- after all, it was his marriage, and it obviously had a huge impact on his life. Of course he wants to discuss it!

We can't say we're not interested to hear Kate's rebuttal, though ... and something tells us we'll definitely get the chance sometime in the future.
