It's been a solid four years since Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton got divorced, and now, she's opening up about what that time was like for her. In a new interview with Health, Miranda made a confession about her divorce from Blake, and let's just say that fans have a lot to say about her new comments.

(Spoiler: It's not good.)

  • Miranda admits that during her divorce, she wished people would focus on her music, NOT her relationship.

"When everyone's worried about your personal life, it makes you feel like, 'Well, if you could just spend some of that time talking about my actual art, that would be great!'" Miranda told the outlet. "But I guess I asked for it, getting into this business. I'm never gonna get used to the public eye in that way."

We get it. It was clear that her divorce was really hard on her, and going through something like that is bad enough without the whole world speculating about it.

No wonder she felt that way!

  • However, many fans aren't impressed with her statement.

Sounds like these commenters think that Miranda should stop bringing up her relationship with Blake. After all, it has been a few years since they were together.

But being that Blake has seemingly shaded Miranda in the past, we're not sure we can agree with the thought that he hasn't spoken about her at all -- and like we said before, this was a tough time in Miranda's life that obviously had a huge impact on her.

Of course she wants to talk about it.

  • Miranda also took the opportunity to speak out about her love for her new husband, Brendan McLoughlin.

It's been almost a year since Miranda surprised us all by announcing on Instagram that she'd gotten hitched, without even letting onto the fact that she'd been dating anyone after her breakup from Evan Felker. But it truly seems like Miranda and Brendan have been living happily ever after ever since.

And according to Miranda herself, her divorce helped her get to a place where that was possible.

"I feel like I've been through enough in my life to know what I don't want. So when I know what I do want, I snatch it right up," Miranda said, adding that it must have been "love at first sight."

    So sweet!
