In case you haven't heard the news, another celeb dad has been crowned People magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive": John Legend. John joins a growing list of the sexiest dads who received recognition from the publication for their dashing good looks and ability to swoon, and this husband and father of two isn't afraid to admit he's a bit baffled as to why he earned the title.

... and he's bringing Idris Elba into the conversation.

  • John Legend is People magazine's 2019 "Sexiest Man Alive."

"I think you grow into being comfortable in your own skin," John tells the mag about channeling his inner confidence. "Most of your teenage years, into your 20s, you're still figuring out who you are, how you present yourself to the world … eventually I think you get more at ease with yourself. I know who I am. Maturity helps with that."

  • Even Chrissy Teigen couldn't help but celebrate her man's latest accomplishment.

If you aren't following Chrissy Teigen on social media -- especially Twitter -- you, dear friend, are missing out on your best life. She is a proud wife and isn't afraid to let the world know she's not only sleeping with the sexiest man alive (check her bio, LOL), but he even makes her sandwiches.

Sadly, Chrissy and John's two kiddos -- daughter Luna, 3-1/2, and son Miles, 18 months -- couldn't care less about people (or People) thinking their dad looks hot.

  • John has since reacted to the news and included Idris Elba in a post about how "perplexed" he is about it all.

"1995 John would be very perplexed to be following 2018 @IdrisElba as #SexiestManAlive. Hell, 2019 John is about as equally perplexed but thank you @People for finding me sexy. I'll take it," he joked in his caption.

    Irdis is so fine ...

    Sorry, got off track.

  • As you can see, fans of John (sorry, the "Sexiest Man Alive") love him and feel he shouldn't downplay what he brings to the table.

Yes, Idris Elba is in a class of his own (we also have love for Jason Momoa, so, depending on the day, we might throw him in there too), but that doesn't mean there isn't space for what John brings to the table. He is attractive, an EGOT (John is a part of a small group of people who won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony), married to one of the funniest people around, and keeps our ears happy with his voice.

So yeah, we got love for John Legend.

  • Congrats again, John!

"Ordinary People" can do extraordinary things, and John Legend -- who literally wrote the song -- is proof of that.

We already know Chrissy is framing his "Sexiest Man Alive" cover.
