Amy Roloff

Earlier this month, news broke Amy Roloff's mom passed away at 86. Patricia Knight lived a full life and was loved so much by Amy and the rest of her family. As sad as it is to lose a loved one (especially your mother), it looks as if this Little People, Big World star is trying to find the light as she prepares to say goodbye one last time to the woman she was proud to call mom.

  • Over the weekend, Amy took to Instagram to reveal she's heading to Michigan in preparation for her mom's memorial.

People exclusively reported Patricia passed away on September 30. Although there weren't many details, Amy Roloff hinted about the loss of her mom on Instagram.

"It's been a tough week after hearing sad news. But these two -- my grand kids Jackson and Ember -- always make me smile and melt my heart," she wrote in her post.

  • "I'm torn with my emotions," the 'Little People, Big World' star revealed in her post.

"I miss her so much and at the same time happy she's not in pain anymore and with the Lord," she added.

"I'll miss Chris while I'm gone but so glad he'll be coming out to be with me for the service and My kids too. It's a kind of mixed emotions for my heart kind of day. I'm sad and yet I know I'm blessed in many ways and I'm so thankful for life and moments. Remember to be kind and let others know you love them every day. Life is but a moment and let's collect as many as we can while doing our best to live life."

  • Since sharing, fans of the show have flooded Amy's social media, expressing their condolences and well-wishes.

People even shared their personal stories of losing a parent and how they wish Amy nothing but the best in trying to navigate through such a difficult loss.

Saying goodbye to your mother is never (ever) easy.

  • We wish Amy and her family nothing but peace and healing.

We can only imagine how Amy and the rest of her family -- especially her dad (sob) -- feels saying goodbye. But as Amy says, she's happy her mom is finally at peace and no longer in pain that might make coming to grips with such a loss easier to navigate.
