In the past few months we've noticed a, well, trend. Kate Middleton has gotten significantly more trendy. Whether it's because she's more comfortable in her role within the royal family -- or because Meghan Markle has inspired her to up her style game -- the Duchess of Cambridge has been stepping out in outfits that are a far cry from her knee-length dresses and matching coats.

And we're into it.

  • On Wednesday, Kate visited the Angela Marmont Centre for UK Biodiversity at the Natural History Museum.

The duchess, who's patron of the Natural History Museum, made the trip to hear how the center is championing and helping to protect UK wildlife.

But not surprising in the least, royal fans were mainly concerned with what Kate was wearing -- and with good reason. The Duchess of Cambridge's look was a pretty big deviation from what she normally wears. Instead of rocking a designer dress, Kate wore a pair of $160 pants from Jigsaw and a $47 top from Warehouse. Adding a designer touch was the nearly $4,000 Chanel bag she was holding.

    Tré chic.

  • Need we even say it? Royal fans had feelings about Kate's lewk.

"Stunning as always," one royal watcher wrote on Instagram, along with a heart eyes emoji.

  • "Beautiful Kate," another wrote. "Loved her outfit."

We did, too. Those colors look perfect on the duchess. Also, how is she able to look so good in everything she wears?

  • One fan made mention of the causes Kate champions.

But she added "LOVE this outfit."

  • Finally, another person commented on how "gorgeous" Kate looked.

    We certainly agree!

  • It isn't every day we catch a glimpse of Kate Middleton rocking something from High Street.

So, when she does, we'll take it.

Also, love the new look Kate's crafting for herself. To us, she'll always be classic and timeless, but there's definitely nothing wrong with a curveball being thrown into the mix every once in a while.
