Somehow, the situation with Aaron Carter just keeps getting weirder. Days after Aaron debuted a new face tattoo, he tried to get in contact with Beyonce (of all people). And now that fans have given him a fair amount of backlash for it, Aaron is explaining why he reached out to Bey -- not that it necessarily helps the whole situation make more sense.

  • It all started when Aaron tweeted a photo of him and Beyonce back in the day.

It's a little odd that Aaron is sending a message to Beyonce this way, but it does seem as if maybe he found this photo and was reminiscing about the start of his career a bit?

Besides, it's not like we all don't think about thanking Beyonce for everything she's done for us from time to time. This is the woman who brought us Lemonade -- is it even possible to thank her enough for that?

But given Aaron's erratic behavior recently -- which even pushed brother Nick Carter to get a restraining order against him -- we have to admit that this is a little bonkers.

  • It didn't take long before the Beyhive stepped in, calling Aaron out for his bizarre tweet.

This person actually went straight to Beyonce herself, asking her for her help -- we don't know if she's actually capable of getting Aaron the help he needs, but maybe she could hook him up with someone who can?

Not that it's Bey's responsibility to step in, of course.

  • Another fan accused Aaron of using Beyonce's name to get attention.

It's true that Beyonce probably won't respond, but Aaron is clearly someone who is in need of assistance right now. Maybe it seems like he's trying to get attention because he is?

    Just a thought.

  • Aaron finally responded to all the tweets about the situation.

He's got a point there: He was just looking back on his memories going on tour with Destiny's Child, not necessarily directly asking Beyonce for anything. We're not too sure about him saying they "know" each other (it has been well over a decade since that tour, after all) but Aaron Carter's certainly less of a stranger to Bey than we are!

  • Aaron also went on to respond to someone who told him the Beyhive would "chew him up and spit him out."

"[T]hat's really rude to say. I love [B]eyonce and I'm a big fan and I was thanking her because I have a lot of new found respect coming my way and my own successors! It's sad to see you try to wage war upon me over humility I recorded a record w @Beyonce& MJ that was uncalled for," Aaron tweeted in response.

Aaron's done a lot of things we can't understand lately, but his tweet about Beyonce might be the mildest out of all of them. It really does seem as if the tweet was harmless, but people continue to read a lot into it.

  • Whatever's going on with Aaron, we hope to see him healthy and happy soon.

Despite his frequent arguments that he's fine, it's clear that something is going on here. We want nothing more than to see him come through this, stronger than ever.

In the meantime, we'll be looking out for Beyonce's response.

    It could happen!
