We're going to go ahead and file this one under "not surprising at all." A new report claims that Kate Middleton is an awesome boss. Evidently, the Duchess of Cambridge always takes time to listen to staff members and is sure to know everyone by name. Lovely!

What's not lovely, though, is that some are now taking this delightful tidbit and, yet again, are pitting Kate Middleton against Meghan Markle

  • According to the Mail on Sunday's You magazine, the Duchess of Cambridge is a pretty good person to work for.

A source told the magazine: "She takes the time to listen to ideas from the most junior members in her team. Afterwards they’ll say, ‘Wow, she knows my name. She asked me what I thought’. She is also loyal and if you make a mistake will back you regardless.”

The source also added: “She is very clear on her priorities and [the] values that guide how she lives and works. It’s about treating other people well to get the best out of them.”

Sounds like a pretty good boss to us!

  • The Sun has been quick to point out that the glowing report about Kate comes on the heels of a few negative articles about Meghan's managerial style.

Apparently, according to the Sun, Meghan was branded "Duchess Difficult" by a few palace insiders after her "demands became too much."

Additionally, it was reporting that Kate and Meghan had words after Meghan "berated" a member of Kate's staff.

    Hmmm ...

  • Although it's been reported members of Meghan's staff have quit due to the demanding nature of the job, it's REALLY hard to imagine Meghan being rude to people.

Last November, the Daily Mail reported that it was more the fact that Meghan's work ethic is remarkably high -- and that she wakes up early -- than her being "difficult."

Apparently, the Duchess of Sussex wakes up around 5 a.m. each day, ready to work. She also reportedly messages staffers between six and seven times each day with various requests and ideas.

"Meghan needs someone with reserves of energy and patience to help her define her future role," a source said.

But, again ... does that make her "difficult"? Also, getting between six and seven messages a day from your boss doesn't seem too over-the-top.

  • It's great to hear that Kate Middleton is such a reasonable and understanding boss, but again, kind of a bummer that it has to be juxtaposed with Meghan being a so-called diva.

Even though we're sure the two women have different styles when it comes to interacting with their staff, let's not forget that Meghan hasn't even officially been in the royal family for two years, whereas Kate's got eight years under her belt.

Surely, Kate's management style has, and will continue, to evolve -- and Meghan's will too.
