'Vampire Diaries' Stars Paul Wesley & Ian Somerhalder Are Teaming Up Again

It's hard to believe The Vampire Diaries first aired 10 years ago. Although it ended its run two years ago, it looks as if two costars are reuniting for a new project. Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley are teaming up on a new business venture that has us crossing our fingers there will be some type of vampire-y goodness that comes with the territory.

  • Damon Salvatore -- we mean Ian Somerhalder -- took to Instagram to reveal he and Paul (Stefan in our eyes) are making bourbon together.

Paul and Ian starred on The CW hit The Vampire Diaries as the Salvatore brothers from 2009 until 2017. They were one of our favorite duos, fighting each other one day and teaming up to stop some forces of darkness the next. The series finale was a tearjerker that had us crying bittersweet tears of joy when they were reunited in the afterlife.

  • "We want to share with you something very special and dear to us," Ian writes in his Instagram post.

"You've given us so many wonderful years as these characters and we want to bring you something to enjoy that brings back some great memories and some good times to come!" Ian Somerhalder added about his bourbon collaboration with Paul Wesley.

"We can't wait to share this experience with you! Let's do this! Who's in??? Cheers! Love,
    Damon and Stefan."

  • As you can imagine, fans of 'Vampire Diaries' are so excited.

Based on this reaction, it's not hard to tell how happy fans are to see Stefan and Damon reuniting once again. They've kept in touch since the series ended, but now we get a new project that ties Ian and Paul together -- with the possibility of a Vampire Diaries twist given Somerhalder signed the reveal "Love, Damon and Stefan."

  • Bring on the bourbon!

We can't wait to see how this all comes together -- and to see Paul and Ian touring the world together in celebration of their new venture.

    Congrats again!
