Just in case anyone was wondering, Jill (Duggar) and Derick Dillard really like sex. And it seems the former reality TV couple like to talk about it even more, given all the times they've brought it up recently. Over the summer, Jill has written blog posts about it, partnered with Dating Divas, and even revealed that she has a (condensed) copy of the Kama Sutra. Now Derick is opening up about their sex life, and may have even admitted that they use birth control.

  • Jill shared Derick's blog post on Instagram, asking readers to click over to their site to read the whole thing.

It's almost exactly what Jill herself posted a couple of months ago, with genders flipped for husbands and wives. One notable difference though was his recommendation that married couples should have sex at least five or six times a week, while Jill had recommended starting at three to four.

She wrote, "Have sex often! You both need this time together regularly (3-4 times a week is a good start. lol). And when you may not be able to actually have intercourse for a period of time or for health issues, find other ways to have fun and be intimate. Let your spouse know that you’re aways available. Guard against fulfilling sexual desires alone. Be open with your spouse about your desires and change things up to keep it exciting!"

Derick's version read, "Have lots of good sex! You both need this time together regularly (5-6 times (or more) a week is a good start). Guys, you need to keep yourself 'joyfully available' for your wife, because only you can fulfill certain desires she might have ... And when you may not be able to actually have intercourse for a period of time or for health issues, find other ways to have fun and be intimate. Let your spouse know that you're always available. Guard against fulfilling sexual desires alone."

  • It didn't take long for people to start pointing out that that's a lot of sex.

Five times a week is nearly every day, and Jill has two little boys at home. Doesn't she ever just get "touched out" and need some space? Then again, there's that command to always be "joyfully available." But seriously, wouldn't she rather take a nap sometimes?

  • Speaking of Israel, 4, and Sam, 2, one fan wanted to know how she's only had two kids in five years if they are basically having daily sex.

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, Jill's parents who starred on 19 Kids and Counting, have made the evils of birth control part of their testimony, as they believe it caused them to have a miscarriage after their first son, Josh, was born. Being anti-birth control is pretty much an assumption for the fundamentalist Christian Duggar family, right? Maybe not, because Derick all but admitted that he and Jill use birth control.

  • The dad of two responded directly to the commenter, saying that he "never said we don't believe in birth control."

He added that his own parents waited 11 years to start their family, and that every Christian family needs to follow "God's leading," and come up with their own best practices.

Well, maybe he never said they don't believe in birth control, but his in-laws sure have, and Jill did get pregnant with Israel on the honeymoon. Silly us for just assuming that the only couple secretly on birth control was Jeremy and Jinger Vuolo, who waited an entire year after the wedding to get pregnant with Felicity.

  • He didn't flat-out admit they use birth control, but if they do -- more power to them.

Jill is turning out to be quite the modern pants-wearing, nose-piercing woman. Maybe someday she'll even feel free to tell Derick to take a hike when he demands his daily romp.
