She's a little fashionista already! Princess Charlotte is following in the footsteps of both her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, and mom, Kate Middleton, by adopting her own signature handbag style. Yup, this adorable 4-year-old just sported her first purse, and we're pleased to announce that her style is "unicorn."

  • Keen-eyed royal fans noticed Charlotte's unicorn purse when the Irish Guard posted a photo over the weekend in honor of Prince George's sixth birthday.

The photo was taken earlier in July at a charity polo game attended by the entire Cambridge family, and features Prince William and all three kids, along with a couple of members of the Irish Guard, and their official mascot, an Irish wolfhound named Domhnall.

It was shared on Domhnall's "personal" Instagram account, and his handler wrote, "Domhnall and the irish guards would like to wish HRH Prince George a very happy birthday. Always ready to serve." The post appears to have been taken down.

She put her purse down to kick around the soccer ball with George, while the Duchess of Cambridge mostly chased Prince Louis (and helped him sport some shades), but she made sure to be photographed with it. At least she was holding onto it enough that the photographers at the event got her, and that saying something, considering everyone was mostly focused on it being Meghan Markle's first outing with baby Archie.

  • She also had it with her while picnicking in the back of the car.

And of course she also has a lunchbox with a red heart on it. She is coordinated so well with her outfit -- and her mama!

  • Of course, she comes by her purse love naturally, as Kate is often photographed with her signature clutch.

The Duchess of Cambridge loves a good clutch, and is almost always photographed with one when out in public. It's been reported that she likes to clasp it with both hands when shaking hands might be awkward, but maybe she just likes to have something to hold in her hands?
  • And then there's Queen Elizabeth, who usually has one of her reported 200 Launer bags with her.

According to Yahoo News, the queen became a fan designer Sam Launer when he sent her a bag when he launched his brand in 1968, and she's been collecting his purses ever since.

According to royal expert Phil Dampier, "She would feel lost without it." The What’s in the Queen’s Handbag? And Other Royal Secrets co-author previously told People magazine. "It's her most valued possession and a valuable tool. The queen would never go anywhere without her handbag. The only time she might not have it by her side is when she is in a completely relaxed environment, like up at Balmoral, and she's out driving or something."

Looks like Char is following in some pretty big footsteps when it comes to carrying a handbag. We think she's making an excellent start with a unicorn purse.
