It's been a big weekend for the royal family, as the youngest member of the crew, Archie Harrison, was christened today at St. George's Chapel in Windsor -- the same venue where his parents were married a little over a year ago. And although many people were up in arms over the fact that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle chose to keep Archie's baptism private, the couple did graciously share two family photos from the celebration, and they're absolutely breathtaking.

  • This is the first good look we've had at Archie. What a beautiful baby, and what a gorgeous family photo.

    The images were captioned with:

This morning, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was christened in the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle at an intimate service officiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are so happy to share the joy of this day with members of the public who have been incredibly supportive since the birth of their son. They thank you for your kindness in welcoming their first born and celebrating this special moment.

Their Royal Highnesses feel fortunate to have enjoyed this day with family and the godparents of Archie.

Their son, Archie, was baptised wearing the handmade replica of the royal christening gown which has been worn by royal infants for the last 11 years. The original Royal Christening Robe, made of fine Honiton lace lined with white satin, was commissioned by Queen Victoria in 1841 and first worn by her eldest daughter. It was subsequently worn for generations of Royal christenings, including The Queen, her children and her grandchildren until 2004, when The Queen commissioned this handmade replica, in order for the fragile historic outfit to be preserved, and for the tradition to continue.

  • This picture of Meghan, Archie, and Harry almost brings tears to our eyes.

What a tender and intimate moment captured by the photographer. This one's a framer for sure.

  • All week, fans were pretty bent out of shape over the thought of the press not being there to capture the event.

For whatever reason, some royal fanatics seem to think that they're entitled to be a part of every single moment of Harry and Meghan's lives -- no matter how significant or private the occasion. People seem to be forgetting that Archie is their baby, and they wish to raise him as a private citizen, not some spectacle.

  • Although Kate Middleton and Prince William did keep the actual baptism private for their three kids, they allowed photos of the arrival and departure.

These images were highly anticipated by the public, and some people are just very bummed out about not getting the same deal for Archie's big day.

I mean -- everyone loves this stuff and eats it up.

  • Who can forget Princess Charlotte telling off the press on the way to Louis' christening?

    "You're not coming."

    Priceless! Give 'em hell, Char.

  • We are so thrilled that Meghan and Harry opted to share part of this special day with their fans.

We can't wait to see more of the three of them as a little family on their upcoming royal tour!
