We're still being thrown for a total loop over the fact that Miranda Lambert secretly got married earlier this year ... but it sounds like this country star totally gets it. Miranda joked about her marriage in a recent interview, and we have to give her props for at least having a good sense of humor about the situation.

  • In a radio interview, Miranda said no one is going to let her take a break from music again because she'll do "weird" stuff  -- like get married.

"They're not going to let me have eight months off ever again because I get married and do weird s---," Miranda Lambert said in an interview with Chicago radio station US 99.5 FM, according to Us Weekly. "I had the longest break I've ever had in 17 years -- this year, the last year -- so I'm a little nervous."

LOL! Hey, if getting married was what felt right to her, then more power to her! Besides, this lady works hard.

    She needed that break.

  • In February, Miranda announced on Instagram that she had married Brendan McLoughlin, an NYPD officer.

Was it a shock that Miranda got married without anyone even being aware she was dating?

    Absolutely.

It was even weirder when stories about Brendan started surfacing, like the fact that he reportedly cheated on his ex-fiancée ... and he welcomed a child just a few days after he and Miranda met.

But Miranda seems happy, and isn't that all that matters?

  • Only recently has Miranda started opening up about their relationship.

Brendan doesn't make many appearances on her Instagram page, so it was a treat when the country star spoke about him for the first time in April. While talking to Extra, Miranda Lambert admitted that Brendan has had to get used to the idea of being around so many dogs (Miranda's house is practically a farm) and opened up about what becoming a stepmother to Brendan's baby has been like.

"We have the best of both worlds," she said at the time. "We spend time in New York, we get to see our adorable nugget, then we get to come back to the farm and have the quiet life. I'm enjoying the balance."

  • Fingers crossed she shares more about her new boo soon.

No matter what people might think of her choice to get married so quickly, it looks like this lady is truly out there living the best life, and we love it for her.
